Cleaning Up Affected HVAC Systems of Commercial Manufacturing Sites with Fire Damage in Lindenhurst

Synthetics produce toxic black smoke when burning. This smoke and the oils and other aerosolized gases can permeate any porous materials in your Lindenhurst plant. Your carpeting, paperboard, acoustic tiles, showroom draperies, and wood and concrete structures can continually get dirty from newly deposited particles. Some come from the ceiling, but an HVAC system's ducts can harbor many of these that became trapped during the fire.

When a business in Lindenhurst calls about commercial fire damage, we know that the HVAC system can play a significant role in how permanent our efforts turn out for that specific site. Our building services crew handles the HVAC system's cleaning.

Our restoration team wants to start working on clearing away soot and cleaning up surfaces right away, but we also want a clean environment as we work. A hydroxyl generator can clean smoke and soot contaminants out of the air quickly and does not require waiting for it to take effect. We can work while it is running, unlike ozone generators. To keep your plant's interior free of new soot deposits, our HVAC team also starts working on removing anything inside the ducts.

In some factories, there are locations within the ventilation ducts that cannot come clean with the usual methods. When this occurs, we can still make the system free of contaminants. Sealing the inside of the ducts keeps contaminants from entering your facility. We use an ultra-low volume (ULV) fogger to fill the ducts with aerosolized sealant.

Starting where the air leaves the HVAC system and enters the ducts, we force the fog into the system. Intermittent bursts prevent drips and streaking. Then, beginning at one of the air intake vents, our HVAC technicians direct the sealant inward sporadically. Once done at one vent, we perform the same technique at another. Room temperature air dries the sealant and keeps any further particles from coming loose and entering the air your employees breathe, using only the blower on the lowest setting,

SERVPRO of Amityville / Lindenhurst wants everyone to enjoy a clean working environment. We start cleaning as soon as possible, making things safe for ourselves and your employees. Fire damage causes both visible and hidden damage to factories in Wyandanch and Farmingdale, but we are prepared to handle all of it for you.
